It's December
and the weather has turned colder. Average temps in the morning
are in the mid thirties. Bundle up. Actually layer
up and make sure you stay hydrated and warm. Don’t want
hypothermia to set in.
I
finally added the high and low beam HID kits from www.hid-online.com and
routed the wires under the gas tank. Also installed the Baehr
communication system for the K1200LT. This is
the easiest communication package that I have installed. Three
of us did it one afternoon and routed all the necessary input
cables for all the audio equipment we wanted to have on the
bike. Like
GPS, radar detector, ICOM two-way
radio, and cell phone. We found it to work so well, that I contacted
Baehr
USA and became a dealer for them. Also added a Kisan tailBlazers
for the top rack LED bar (third brake light), a Clarion plug
and play satellite radio on a BMR
Products Co-Pilot
shelf. The Valentine 1 radar detector and the ICOM two-way radio
are mounted on the right and left handlebars respectively using
the Trick Stick Reservoir Covers and RAM mounting arms and balls.
Things to add: Hella Micro DE Xenon HID auxiliary lights under
the mirrors, Rider West Saddlebag reflector LED conversion kits
that will make the reflectors light up as running lights and turn
signals, SoundGate CD changer interface to route satellite radio
through CD changer wiring instead of FM modulator and have an additional
audio input for maybe an iPOD or mp3 player.
